Post offices threaten to strike to support Australia Post boss
Almost 3,000 post offices around the country could close their doors tomorrow as they hold a one-day strike in protest of the treatment of Australia Post Chief Executive Christine Holgate.
A licensee told Steve and Baz many Australia Post staff don’t agree with the Federal Government’s treatment of their CEO and says they’re reserving the right to strike and they’re 100% behind that decision.
“Our CEO is just been such an incredible woman, an incredible leader for Australia Post since coming on board in October 2017,” Scott Burnham, Baldivis Post Office Licensee told 6PR Breakfast.
“We would do anything we possibly can to support her role and what she’s done for Australia Post.”
