Restaurants, pubs and other venues are warning customers prices on food and drink will continue to rise in the face of increasing operating costs.

Some eateries are being forced to impose levy surcharges on more and more services according to the Restaurant and Catering Association.

RCA CEO Suresh Manickam told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast businesses are being honest with the public about how their costs are universally increasing.

“They can’t absorb these costs anymore; the public needs to be aware that this isn’t price-gouging,” Mr Manickam said.
