Psychologists hit back at Health Minister calling psychology rebates ‘lazy’
The Institute of Clinical Psychology is disappointed at the Health Minister’s comment’s the psychology subsidy is a ‘lazy’ policy.
Institute of Clinical Psychologists president and clinical psychologist Dr Marjorie Collins told Oliver Peterson on Perth Live cost of living pressures are adding to the mental health crisis.
“It’s fairly lazy to not put something else in place when you have ripped away half of the Medicare rebated sessions for psychological therapy,”
“The mental health crisis has not subsided, but the health minister has decided to halve the number of rebated sessions for psychology.”
