Qantas apologises to passenger forced to pay $6000 for accessible seating
Qantas has apologised after a passenger with a disability was forced to pay $6,400 for a flight from Perth to Canberra.
Anwen Handmer and her carer recently paid two business class seats because the economy cabin did not meet accessibility requirements.
The airline has since apologised as well as provided a refund of the difference between the Business and Economy Class airfare to the passenger.
Ms Handmer told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings accessibility requirements need to be met across all types of aircraft.
