After 15 years as Qantas CEO, Allan Joyce has stepped down.

He will be surpassed by the company’s chief financial officer Vanessa Hudson, however, she will be faced with some real challenges. 

Aviation Editor at Business News Geoffrey Thomas told Julie-anne Sprague told 6PR Afternoons she is well acquainted with the company.

“The whole system is basically broken and it’s taking a long long time to put it back together pre-covid,” said Mr Thomas.
