RAC backs driverless bus trial
The RAC says WA roads are potentially ready for driverless vehicles, with a seven-year trial ending with fruitful results.
The company’s driverless bus trial has taken place in South Perth since 2017 with more than 38,000 kilometres travelled and more than 28,000 “drivers” experiencing the transport of the future.
RAC’s Corporate Affairs Manager Will Golsby told Karl and Gena onĀ 6PR Breakfast the trial was the first of its kind in Australia.
“Around 90 per cent of crashes are caused by human error,” Mr Golsby said.
