Texting while driving on the freeway is like driving the length of a football field blindfolded, according to the RAC. 

The RAC have put out the shocking comparison ahead of the Easter long weekend to warn WA drivers about the severe dangers of losing focus for even a few seconds. 

RAC’s general manager of corporate affairs told 6PR Breakfast texting and driving is happening too often. 
‘It is a major issue and a major contributor to West Australia having the worst road fatality rate of any state.’
