Belmont ratepayers are frustrated with the level of spending after it was announced that the City of Belmont is sending eleven employees to Japan for a sister-city delegation, costing $45 thousand in taxpayer money.

Lisa Hollands from the Belmont Resident and Ratepayer Action Group explained to 6PR’s Gary Adshead that this is just another item in a list of questionable expenses.

‘It’s been a lot about what the council can get for themselves,’ she said.”
