Renewed push to abolish junior pay rates
The Australian Council of Trade Unions is leading a renewed push for junior pay rates to be scrapped for adults aged between 18 and 21.
ACTU President Michele O’Neil spoke to 6PR’s Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said there are national industries and sectors that can legally pay those within the 18 to 20-year-old age bracket less than the adult wage.
