Good news for taxi and ambulance drivers, as navigating has been shown to improve brain health and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s.

Associate Professor Michael Woodward AM discusses with 6PR’s Chrissy Morrissy the research and other factors that have been shown to reduce the progression of Alzheimer’s.

“They’ve had to learn their way around complicated city routes, and it’s possible that actually builds up, if you like, some cerebral reserve,” he said.
