Residents of a Kelmscott public housing complex are scared to leave their houses due to a recurring spate of violence in and around their homes.

In one recent incident, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly bashed and hospitalised by her stepfather.

Resident Sherri Richardson told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings the complex used to be a nice area but had become a warzone in recent months.

“We’ve all been trying to get help but it hasn’t changed,” Ms Richardson said.
