The RSPCA’s research into animal cruelty throughout WA isn’t good news, and the organisation is now appealing for support in continuing their work.

A report by the peak animal protection organisation shows a marked increase in cruelty in both metro and regional areas, with some rates increasing by more than 100 per cent in the last year.

RSPCA WA Ben Cave told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings they can barely handle the staggering amount of animal cruelty cases reported.

“Nineteen a day, 7000 a year; the reality is ten years ago we were dealing with 300 a year, and sadly our resources haven’t reflected the increase,” Mr Cave said.
