RSPCA looks to avoid the Christmas kennel spike by reminding: adopt, don’t shop
As Christmas approaches, the RSPCA are reminding owners and potential owners that pets are a big responsibility in an effort to prevent the usual spike in shelter placements at this time of the year.
RSPCA’s Louise Rowe, Crumpet and her owner Sylvie dropped in to the 6PR Studios to reinforce the message of adopt, don’t shop with Gary Adshead onĀ Mornings.
“We try everything we can to avoid it, but sadly we have a lot more requests for surrender than animals we are able to take in,” Ms Rowe said.
“We have to keep priority with those in crisis and those trying to find somewhere to live.”
