Optus Stadium has confirmed music was left on overnight following Fremantle’s win yesterday.

As discussed in the John Hughes Hyundai Rumour File, East Perth residents were kept up by the apparently very loud sounds of Lionel Richie, among other artists.

East Perth resident Simon told Millsy and Karl he didn’t know exactly why music was being played all night, but if he could hear it from his home, it was clearly fairly loud.

Optus Stadium has released a statement in response to the incident:

“We sincerely apologise to anyone affected by the noise.

“A review into what occurred with the shut down procedures is underway and we will make sure any necessary changes are implemented.”
