Will the turf at Optus Stadium hold up for this weekend’s blockbuster sporting AFL-Rugby Union double header?

It’s a question the two AFL clubs playing there this weekend have mulled over.

‘Captain’s Call’ phoned the John Hughes Rumour File on Friday saying club management at Fremantle and Port Adelaide, who clash there on Sunday afternoon, were worried about how the surface will hold up after Saturday night’s blockbuster rugby Test between the Wallabies and England.

6PR Breakfast has put the call in to Optus Stadium CEO Mike McKenna and expect to hear from him just after 8am on air today.
