Dockers defender Luke Ryan is calling for a lift from his teammates as the side looks to rebound after a pair of disappointing losses.

Fremantle has lost its past two matches and faces Essendon this Saturday night at Optus Stadium. The All Australian defender told Wide World of Sports’ Adam Papalia the group needs to show more initiative out on the field.

“Just sort of like we’re waiting for somebody else to do it” said Ryan.

“Waiting for something to happen, waiting for someone to spark us, waiting for someone to get the ball instead of actually doing it”.
