Sam Kerr’s fans are standing by the Matildas Captain, after she was charged with racially abusing a police officer in the U-K.

The Socceroo allegedly called the officer a “stupid white bastard” after arguing about a taxi fare.

Kerr has pleaded not guilty.

Sydney Morning Herald UK correspondent Rob Harris told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings British courts are currently “swamped” with minor cases, which will drag out the conclusion of Kerr’s charges.
