Scrap the flu jab, there’s a vaccine patch
If your sick of getting the flu jab, the vaccine patch could be for you.
The patch uses 1/6 the dose of influenza vaccine compared to a normal flu injection and only has to be on the skin for a few minutes.
Biotech group Vaxxas has developed a vaccine-coated patch and partnered with a producer that can manufacture 5 million patches per week.
Immunologist from University of Queensland, Professor Ian Frazer, joined 6PR Breakfast to share the details.
