The parents of Aishwarya Aswath are being subject to online abuse while a coroner’s inquest into the death of their six-year-old daughter at Perth Children’s Hospital in April last year plays out.

Family spokesperson Suresh Rajan told 6PR Mornings host Liam Bartlett that Aishwarya’s father Aswath Chavittupara and mother Prasitha Sasidharan, who is pregnant, were being vilified online.

“Can I just say to all the keyboard warriors out there blaming the family for not taking the child in earlier, they are just the scum of the earth, and there have been a whole stack of those comments on social media last night,” he said.

“I’m just staggered, I don’t know what to say to them, they are just absolute vile human beings.”

The inquest heard evidence from nurses as well as showing CCTV footage.
