Search and rescue teams are hoping to descend into the freezing North Atlantic to try and find a missing tourist submersible now that weather has cleared up.

The underwater observation craft went missing an hour and 45 minutes into a scheduled dive to the wreck of the Titanic.

UK Reporter Enda Brady told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast British billionaire Hamish Harding is one of the missing tourists.

“Apparently it was a quarter of a million dollars each for the four paying passengers, and they’ve lost contact,” mr Brady said.
