Fourteen-year-old Robert Corps has been the victim of a hit and run after a woman hit the boy while he was trying to cross the road after school on Wednesday.

Mr Corps suffered a broken leg and internal injuries while the driver fled the scene.

It is the second hit and run in one week as listener Len Douglas called in to report another incident in Bull Creek earlier this week.

Press PLAY to hear how Mr Dougal caught the culprit red-handed

Mr Douglas told Michael Thomson onĀ 6PR Mornings he was filling up fuel when he heard a screeching car pull up behind him.

“The car came into the service station with a scooter jammed underneath it and the driver proceeded to pull the scooter underneath the car,” Mr Douglas said.

“I thought there was something wrong so I thought I would drive back in the direction he came from and half a kilometer up the road, a young lad was lying on the verge.”

The 15-year-old was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and a 65-year-old man was charged in relation to the incident.
