The State Government’s shark tagging program has been expanded to include adult bull sharks in the Swan River.

The program currently focuses on white sharks, but Minister for Fisheries Don Punch announced the new focus, following an investigation into the death of 16-year-old Stella Berry in the Swan river last month.

Tagging will commence in the coming days, with new shark monitoring receivers activated by next summer.

Mr Punch told Jo McManus onĀ 6PR Afternoons the tagging will help make the river safer.
