Shoplifters allegedly pepper-spray IGA store owner in violent robbery
A Perth IGA owner was allegedly pepper-sprayed in the face after confronting two shoplifters in her store on Monday.
WAtoday obtained vision of the dramatic incident, which resulted in two teenagers being charged with aggravated armed robbery.
WAToday Journalist Linda Parri told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings, she was shocked at how brave the shop owners were, as the teenagers were screaming as if they were the victims.

“Their entitlement really shocked me, the fact that they were so brave and thought they could just come into the store and as the owner said, treat the store as their own pantry,” Ms Parri said.
Fleur Brown, Chief Industry Affairs Officer at the Australian Retail Association spoke to Gary Adshead in response to this incident.
