Melbourne Football Club coach Simon Goodwin has categorically denied all accusations of drug use.

Goodwin told the Sports Entertainment Network the ongoing rumours are taking a toll on his mental health.

Nine News sports reporter Mark Readings told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast the scrutiny on Goodwin has been a long and drawn-out process.

“It comes off of the back of a really weird two or three years; Glenn Bartlett was pushed aside and now there’s legal action and a whole lot more going on behind the scenes,” Mr Readings said.
