Simpson Speaks of Previous Frustrations Over Fixturing
West Coast Coach Adam Simpson has spoken about the travel challenges and short turn-around times his club is facing ahead of their trip to the GABBA this weekend.
The Eagles take on the Lions having produced a spirited performance against the Saints six days earlier, whilst Brisbane will have had nine days to reflect on their belting of Richmond at home last Thursday.
“I think across the board you get dealt a difficult hand every now and then” Simpson said.

“Unfortunately for us we get three travel games in a row that are six day breaks, so that’s going to be a challenge.”
“But on the flip-side we get three eight-day breaks at home”
Simpson spoke of previous views towards scheduling, but has become more at-ease in recent years.
“We used to get quite frustrated with the inequity of the fixture, but now we just get on with it.”
“We don’t look at it that way anymore.”
