‘So, so proud’: Mum of new Freo recruit Jye Amiss delighted for son
The mother of new Fremantle recruit, Jye Amiss, who was taken at pick number eight in the NAB AFL Draft on Wednesday night says it’s an “amazing feeling” after her son was drafted
Janette Bernhard told Gareth Parker she’s just “so, so proud” of her son that grew up in Busselton in a family of six foster kids
“There was challenges a long the way, but family all comes together and that’s what it about,” she said.
“Just to see these little kids come and share their lives with us, and he’s just such a big brother figure, it’s just amazing, and they just look up to him and you should have heard them all carrying on screaming when he got drafted.”
We can’t wait to see what Jye Amiss can do 🤩 #foreverfreo #AFLDraft
