A new Auditor General’s report into how speed camera revenue is spent has recommended significant changes.

The fund – which includes about $100 million – comes from revenue from speed cameras, red light cameras and other devices.

WA Auditor General Caroline Spencer told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings they want to see the Road Council taking more strategic approach to their projects

“It’s more monitoring and evaluation, but at the moment there just aren’t those strong feedback loops to make sure that all the initiatives that are being funded are the most effective initiatives,” Ms Spencer said.
