Sports bodies taking huge cuts from gambling, investigation reveals
An explosive report set to air on Four Corners will unveil how sports governing bodies around the country are taking huge cuts of revenue from gambling companies.
“Tens of millions of dollars” are allegedly involved in the schemes, which range from international bodies to amateur suburban club competitions.
ABC Investigations reporter Pat McGrath told Jo McManus he was surprised by the scope of the scandal.
“It’s getting collected from the big international competitions all the way down to the lowest levels,” Mr McGrath said.
