St John calls for mandatory first aid training for learner drivers
St John Ambulance NSW has called for the state government to make first aid a mandatory part of learner driver training and ‘Join the numerous countries worldwide already doing this.’
St John WA’s Chief Preventative Officer Megs O’Donnell spoke with Oly Peterson on Perth Live and said they were huge advocates for first-aid training, especially in young people,
“Our teenage drivers are definitely experiencing an increase in road fatalities and we also know that those first few minutes after an accident occurs are critical.”
