A St John officer has passed away over night in Forrestdale after crashing his car on the way to a priority emergency call.

Channel Nine reporter, Emma Griffiths, says the 38-year-old passed away at the scene.

“It looks as if the car has mounted the curb of the roundabout here, collided into a tree and then spun out,” she told Gary Adshead.

St John Ambulance revealed they’ve offered support to the family who have requested no further details are made public until they can contact family overseas.
