Lloyd Soley, grandson of Jack Yates, spoke to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont about the collection, the amazing story that led to him being in possession of a Turkish medal, and the wisdom his grandfather left him.

“He said, ‘Don’t ever go away until the enemy’s stepping on the shores or the politicians’ sons and daughters are on the boats in front of you,’” said Lloyd.
