The Premier has been forced to apologise for swearing in Parliament this afternoon.

Mark McGowan’s microphone was left on during question time when he returned to his seat after answering a question from the opposition about Perth Mint’s gold doping program.

Mr McGowan described the issues with the mint as “a storm in a f***ing teacup”.

He says he thought the comment was being made to the Deputy Premier in private.
