SunSmart has launched a new UV app which aims to combat Australia’s high skin cancer rate.

The app shares the UV rating and UV forecasts for the day to help people be more sun smart.

Sun Smart spokesperson Craig Sinclair told 6PR Afternoons the app is all about protecting people from sun damage.

“It’s really about educating people that there is a disconnection between temperature and UV radiation,” said Mr Sinclair
