Tax breaks to move to Northern Australia
New poll results found two in five Australians are in favour of the establishment of a “Special Economic Zone” in Northern Australia.
It would mean the area is designated to have lower taxes, less regulatory burdens, and incentives to attract workers to expand the area.
The IPA has long championed the implementation of a “SEZ” in Northern Australia, saying Northern Australia offers a unique opportunity to set the nation up for a period of economic prosperity if the right policy settings are put in place.
Deputy Executive Director of the Institute of Public Affairs, Daniel Wild spoke to Jo McManus on Perth Live.
