Tech-savvy volunteers wanted for aged care contact
Are you good with the inter-webs, video thingies and using the book-face? An aged care facility is asking for tech nerd volunteers to help the elderly.
Due to visitor restrictions and lock-downs across aged-care facilities, Baptistcare want their residents to stay connected through technology but their asking for tech-savvy volunteers to help.
“All we need is people who have got some spare time, and lets face it we all have more time now days, spend half an hour, twice a week on Skype, Zoom, or Facetime talking with, reading to, chatting, getting to know a couple of residents in an aged care service,” Russell Bricknell, Baptistcare CEO, told 6PR Breakfast.
