Teenager jailed for three years over Atlantis College shooting
A teenager who opened fire on a Northern Suburbs school has been sentenced to three years juvenile detention.
The 15-year-old stole two rifles from his parents’ gun safe and drove his father’s car to Atlantis Baptist College in may last year.
He fired three shots; two hit buildings and the other came close to hitting students walking on school grounds before calling triple zero himself and giving himself up.
6PR Reporter Jake Battrick said the sentencing reflects the court’s view on the planning and danger involved in the incident.
