A significant influx of Russian foreign nationals into Bali has prompted local authorities to crack down on antisocial behaviour, including illegal businesses and prostitution.

Ross Taylor, an Indonesian expert, explains to 6PR’s Chrissy Morrissy why this issue has escalated recently.

“Since the war in Ukraine, we’ve seen something like 15,000 mostly young Russian men simply wanting to escape conscription,” he said.
