Geelong are the 2022 AFL Premiers after defeating Sydney by 81 points at the MCG.

It’s the Cats first flag in over 10 years and tenth in their history, after a dominat season which saw them finish minor premiers before becoming eventual premiers.

The Cats dominated from the first bounce, leading by 35 points at quarter time, 36 at the main break and 74 at three quarter time.

Isaac Smith was awarded the Norm Smith Medal after having 32 disposals and kicking 3 goals for the match.

Patrick Dangerfield had 27 touches, while Tyson Stengle lead the score sheet kicking four goals with Tom Hawkins kicking three.

It was the first Grand Final at the MCG since 2019 and 100,024 fans walked through the turnstiles in what was the biggest AFL crowd since 1986.
