The changing landscape of the Australian workplace
Australian bosses are increasingly less fussed about where their staff work, and when, but rather whether they have the talent for the job and their options if they don’t.
Dr Brendan Rynne, Chief Economist for KPMG Australia, said the pandemic continued to play into the hands of employees when it came to things like pay and flexibility.
“What we know is those foreign workers were really the marginal worker in Australia so we then had to rely on our own population,” Dr Rynne said.
