Energy Minister Chris Bowen says a transition to nuclear power will cost Australia $387 billion dollars but the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA) has labelled the move a bargain.

IPA Executive Director Scott Hargreaves told Russell Collett on 6PR’s Perth Live the government’s energy plan lacked credibility with Hargreaves claiming their plans consistently underestimated the costs of the green transition.

Mr Hargreaves said the government has most probably overestimated the costs of a nuclear alternative as well.
