The ‘good reason’ why teenagers won’t get up in the morning
A new study has revealed a change in sleep patterns during adolescence may be the reason why teenagers won’t get up in the morning.
Chair of Adolescent Medicine at the University of Sydney Kate Steinbeck says teenagers want to go to bed later and get up later.
“It’s thought to be due not to puberty hormones – but it seems to be the developing brain and there is enormous brain development over 15 years,” Ms Steinbeck told Gary Adshead.
