Perth cyclist Matthew Richardson suffered a life-changing elbow injury which led him to pursue a career in the sport and eventually become an Olympian.

Two-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist, the cyclist is in Brisbane competing at this year’s AusCycling Track National Championships with his sights set on the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Mr Richardson told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons he is excited to ‘perform’ at the Olympics.

“I’m definitely not looking back too much,” said Mr Richardson.
