With a range of categories including “everyday”, “grubby”, “ranga” (red hair), “vintage”, “extreme”, “international” and “junior”, there’s really no reason to grow out the world’s most maligned haircut for Mulletfest.

The national competition is making their way around the country again, giving anyone with a sideways perspective on fashion the opportunity to show off.

Organiser Laura Johnson told Lachy and Mick on 6PR Breakfast there’s some diehard support behind the event.

“One of our judges has had a mullet since she was fourteen years old; she’s in her 60’s now. That’s well and truly a vintage mullet,” Ms Johnson said.
