The race to find the Titan submersible before time runs out

An international search to find the occupants of OceanGate Titan submersible has ramped up as the amount of oxygen on board dwindles.

Emergency workers and scientists are using seismographic technology to locate the submersible in the North Atlantic, focusing on sounds like those on board banging on its hull.

Flinders University’s Professor Samuel Drake told Gary Adshead on 6PR Breakfast there is a lot of hard work and detail that needs to be developed to find the underwater craft.

“My understanding is that the sounds should be unique; it’s possible it could be the banging of something else, but they should be able to tell that this is a human-made sound,” Professor Drake said.
