The United States and Europe have declared war on Chinese electric vehicles, imposing hefty taxes to prevent a flood of vehicles and protect their respective automotive markets. However, Australia is looking to welcome a growing list of new EVs directly from China.

Dr Scott Dwyer Research Director at the Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Sydney joined 6PR Afternoons to talk about the EV situation. 

“EU and US want to put tariffs on because there has been an unfair advantage to the Chinese manufacturers of EVs,” Dwyer said on 6PR Afternoons.
