The historical thought of a car salesman has made a dramatic change in the past few years and Leoni Knipe is just one of the people paving the way.

Ms Knipe is the Dealer Principal and Managing Director of Avon Valley Toyota and the way she runs her business has earned her the Telstra Business Woman of the Year award for 2019.

“I try to approach diversity within the business, I don’t want a car yard that’s just full of women because I’m in a minority group. So I have Asian employees, I have young employees, employees from different backgrounds,” Ms Knipe told 6PR Breakfast.
