Police Commissioner Col Blanch has discussed the sad circumstances behind the death of Constable Anthony Woods, saying it was a tragic end to a routine traffic stop.

Mr Blanch came to the 6PR studios to discuss with Gary Adshead what will now be done to remember the much-loved officer on 6PR Mornings.

“When anyone in the community rings 000, Anthony’s the cop you want turning up to your house,” Mr Blanch said.
