Strength training exercises such as wall squats and planks are among the best ways to lower blood pressure, according to a new study by UK researchers.

Perth Exercise Physiologist David Beard told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast it’s less about straining yourself and more repetition.

“The body actually has to work harder while the muscles are contracted to get blood in, which works to reduce your blood pressure,” Dr Beard said.
