More older Australians are being given access to cheaper healthcare following the relaxation of income tests for the Seniors Healthcare Card.

Roughly 44,000 people already on the card are set immediately benefit through access to cheaper medicine, while an additional 52,000 older Aussies will benefit by 2026.

National Seniors Australia chief advocate Ian Henschke told Oly Peterson on Perth Live that aged care workers have also just been awarded a 15 per cent pay rise in a Fair Work Commission decision.
