Thousands of students lose qualifications, following college closedown
Around 17,000 Australian students have been informed their qualifications will be cancelled in an unprecedented government crackdown.
It follows the closure of three colleges accused of issuing fake diplomas, primarily in fields such as childcare and disability services.
The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) explained that the closures and cancellations were necessary to ensure public safety, as former students may be working with vulnerable individuals without proper training.
Senior Fellow at the Australian Catholic University told Oly Peterson on Perth Live it’s too little too late.
